My artwork is a continuous celebration.

During my [semi] quiet time with my Papa this morning [there is some super fun construction occurring on the apartment above my husband and I's and it began early this morning with quite the bang.... literal banging (it probably sounds much like you would imagine this gif does)... for hours and hours... Lord, help us to have peace amidst it all] as I was asking Him for next steps on this adventure, I heard clearly why this work is so important to Him [and by extension to me]. He said, "Your artwork is a continuous celebration of all moments and seasons of life, which have brought (or will bring) me glory." WOW!

I can say with 100% certainty that I have never, not once, thought about my artwork in such a meaningful way before. Of course all artwork inherently carries meaning, but this meaning... a continuous celebration? Naturally, I asked for more on this and it led me to research a bit about what it means to celebrate. The Merriam-Webster definition of celebrate is, "to do something special or enjoyable for an important event, occasion, holiday, etc.; to bless, rejoice, glorify, or exalt". In the Word, celebrate appears in 93 different instances with 52 verses specifically relating to this word or a synonym of it. I think it is safe to say that celebrating and rejoicing are both important concepts and actions as children of the King of Kings and among those who love Him.

How does all of this relate to Beauty From Ashes Studio Creations? Well, I am reminded of what happens when we celebrate something or someone. We are remembering, coming together, given the opportunity to heal, acknowledging something we went through, experiencing and expressing emotion [joy, hope, peace, comfort, anger, relief], and taking the time to bring honor to a person/event/or period of our lives.

The kind of art I hope to create will invite the person it is created for to have this type of celebration. Whether it is one of remembering a loved one or someone who had great impact on his/her life or rejoicing in a specific time or season, this work will be that of continuous celebration and expression of Papa God's endless love for us all [and boy does He love us].

I am SO excited to begin and to share His heart for ALL I am blessed to encounter!!
